Visited Home Counties at Ashwell and caught
up with lots of old friends. A lovely weekend with sun, rain, maypole
and pancakes.

Thomas Hardy country. A long way to drive but
a beautiful part of the country and well worth a visit. Good weather
again with games outside, music inside and excellent walking country.

- EASTER AT EPWORTH - 14TH TO 17TH APRIL 2006
We returned to the Ridings for Easter at
Epworth, a mixed bag weather wise but good fun with lots going on,
music, song, dance, craft - everything you'd expect at Easter. I also
had a lovely drive over the "Cat and Fiddle" to Macclesfield
to attend NW AGM on the Saturday.

AGM - COPLEY CC, NEAR HALIFAX - 24TH TO 26TH MARCH 2006
It was a wet weekend but plenty of time to explore Halifax (the
Piece Hall was very interesting with its farmers market and
numerous little shops) and also to take a walk along the canal tow path,
adjacent to the site and visit Sowerby Bridge.

WESSEX AGM,
FORT WIDLEY, COSHAM, PORTSMOUTH - 7TH TO 9TH APRIL 2006
It was a beautiful sunny weekend but the wind nearly cut us all in
half. The site is situated within the grounds of an 1860s Fort,
itself a very interesting complex. There are some lovely walks and views
from this site, worth another visit sometime but watch the gate posts on
the way in!

YOUTH FOLK ROCK WEEKEND AT CAULDON LOWE - 15TH - 17TH JULY
Folk Rock Thanks to North Central for offering Cauldon Lowe
as the venue, Even though numbers were down, the weekend went very well
and included lots of music practice, a good singaround on the Friday
night and a mass Barbeque on the Saturday afternoon. Not too full to
dance though, a really lively dance on Saturday with an acoustic play
around on Sunday to wind down. Thanks to everyone who attended and Steve
for organising the weekend.

EAST MIDLANDS
MEET AT RISLEY - 7TH - 12TH JULY
Risley Another quiet site on a farm near to Derby and the M1
but with a barn on site available all day, Well, when its as hot a
weekend as this was, a cool stone built barn is perfect. This was a
craft weekend with over 30 units there and something to do or look at
all day. Combine this with local fish and chips delivered to the site
and at least two buckets of Strawberries for pudding on the Saturday
brilliant.

WESSEX MEET
AT BOTLEY - 30TH JUNE - 4TH JULY
Botley As you can see, we spent a great day out at the
Festival of the Sea in Portsmouth Docks. Lovely quiet site behind a farm
in the countryside but only a few minutes from the M27, it might have
been a long drive from Derbyshire but well worth the effort.
