RIDINGS, CROW EDGE, THURLSTONE 29 APR-2ND MAY

Crow Edge near Holmfirth is the only place I know where it is wetter at the top of the field than the bottom. Despite the weather it was a great weekend for the Youth to practice for their test and the hall being on site was used for numerous activities. My first real use of the new 4x4 helping to get people off site – a lovely weekend over all.

EASTER MEET ABBEY SCHOOL, FAVERSHAM, KENT 24 MARCH -29 MARCH

South East did us proud with an excellent meet, well planned, stewarded and attended. The Easter workshops of craft, music, song and dance were very busy and all the evening dances well supported, as was the singers room. This is the FDSG's major meet of the year but next year it is moving from Easter to start on the Tuesday after late May Bank Holiday - Tuesday 30th May and will be near Peterborough.
We hope to see many units there in 2006.
